¶ ‘Lapis lazuli’. On this semi-precious stone, see Pasquali, Lessico (2005), 9. In the administrative record, the term is also attested as zagin3 or gin3(-gin3). Civil, ‘Early History’ (1987), 145, observes that the word is a loan from an unknown language, and probably means ‘blue (stone)’.
